I don’t know what you see in this sailing thing!!
Quote “I don’t know what you see in this sailing thing… I mean it’s all very pretty…but you don’t go fast like speedboats …it’s obviously just relaxing!!!”
I won’t bore my readers with my fairly lengthy reply and I try to avoid using bad language on-line.

Nevertheless it is true that some of the sailing looks very pretty. This is one of my favourite pictures (naturally no one else likes it much) but I have it framed on my study wall at home and here are two images from the first Sunday of the sailing season.

I think spinnakers can do a lot for a picture, but a moody sky also helps. And out on the water there is the added bonus of the world of nature. You don’t see these very often. It’s a real privilege.

But to answer my friend there are times when the wind blows hard that the whole process gets a bit energetic.

And of course, it doesn’t always wind up happily.

Concentration and effort are everything.

This week I will include two classic pictures from yesteryear.

One which still makes me laugh – and one which reminds me of the classic verse “Antigonish”
Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn’t there
He wasn’t there again today….

Hope your weekend stays dry.
