It was a bit splashy and blowy
From time to time I ensure that my blog mentions the topic of sailing – simply because many, if not most of my weekends in the summer are spent out on one of the Norfolk Broads recording photographs of sailing events.

The season has started – at least that is what the diary tells me. In reality just at the moment the weather feels nothing like summer. When it is not raining it is blowing

and to cap it all it is cold.

Nevertheless a few hardy souls at the Norfolk Punt Club began their season last Sunday. As always it was interesting to see families sailing

or thinking about sailing

or sailing under instruction,

and in the last instance being hauled out of the water when the actual sailing bit came to an abrupt end.

Full marks to the rescue boat which was always on hand.

Comforting also to see that everything was under the watchful eye of an Officer of the Day.

Nevertheless the contents of that tea urn were enticing and most people – especially those who had been in the drink were ever so glad of a cuppa.

More pictures from last Sunday may be found at myerscoughphotography.org and good luck to those who are planning a sail this weekend. The weather could be warming up a bit!!!
