Who watches the watchers?

From ancient Greece in the time of Plato’s Republic, through Latin poems of Juvenal to Star Trek this question has persisted. But this week Ifotophilia has a crack at an answer – and a visual one at that! Of course it won’t satisfy the academics but it will be fun.

Modern watchers roam our countryside with their apparatus

They don’t always agree on the way things should go but with their followers they eventually make progress.

Watchers should stick together but always take advice

There are loaners,

and learners

and many enjoy a little security on the balcony – near the cafe.

Others take their break the hard, or the hardy way.

There is a feeling that they are over to the right – somewhere

During winter the term “hiding” can have more than one meaning.

How do the birds feel about this? They have to put up with it and get on with life.

Looks like my cue to do the same. Have a good weekend.
