Perfick Peonies
Of course if you have never read H.E Bates Darling Buds of May no doubt this title will be something of a mystery – just stick with it – you know me, it won’t get any better.

Critic number one has already pointed out that we are no longer in May – So!!! Peonies can be grown in May and we had only just turned over to June when I took them.

This will no doubt be followed by someone mentioning that none of the pictures really look at buds! Some friends are so difficult to please. But just to make up for it I have included one of my twirls for good measure.

Nevertheless you are seeing peonies in a field where a farmer grows lots of them, reds, pinks and white ones.

Just for good measure you can see some of the people picking them. At least I think that’s what they are doing. Quite a bit of pausing and posing went on as well, but there again it was raining at the time – and how.

Much dryer now that I am back indoors and waiting for the next sailing regatta – Round the Island.

See you soon.
