Ups and downs at the Royal Norfolk Show
It is always good to have a couple of days in the summer at the Royal Norfolk Show. This year the weather was a little warm.

Just the sort of weather for jumping out of an aeroplane – that is if you are a member of the RAF Falcons parachuting team. I did once venture on something like that – all I can remember about it now is that it looked a long way down from the aircraft and as I quite like my body the shape that it is, I never did it again!

These guys brought the audience to their feet in anticipation of the spectacle. Fiery feet it looks like. It does mean that you can see them coming but I would imagine those cannisters will become rather warm if they are not handled with care.

Handling with care was also on the menu for the Bolddog FMX stunt motorcyclists.

There were only three of them, but I guess you can’t have many more than that in the air at any one time. Even so the stunts were spectacular and very difficult to photograph.

Keeping them in the frame was one thing, but you never knew how far up or down they might go and which way up they were attempting to be.

Just two of the spectaculars that caught my attention. For the traditionalists who assume that agricultural shows are all about farming and animals – never fear – next week’s blog focuses on animals (of one sort or another) and what they get up to.

Don’t get up to anything too dangerous this weekend – (both of the above are not recommended stunts for performance in your back garden – because if you do, there is a strong chance you would wind up in hospital and then you would miss Ifotophilia on the Royal Norfolk Show 2 “Animals” next Friday.
See you.
