Not quite the Punt Championships
Normally in this space my readers have to endure a rambling narrative which helps the pictures along. This week I will suspend my literary skills in favour of a few short explanations.
First we have a selection of images captured during the Punt Championship weekend 16-17 August this year. For one reason or another they were not included in my main selection of pictures for this event. (What do you mean you didn’t see them! Click here – or read on)
Preparing to set off

Then there is life on the pontoon

And the skies above

Always be reassured there are watchful eyes

Now a word about boats that capsize.
For years I have not included many of these in case people find them unkind pictures – and I don’t want that – under pressure I have included 3 this week which I hope will show that crews take a capsize very much in their stride and nine times out of ten come up smiling.

Or another example whee I suspect it isn’t going to go well

Inside a Norfolk Punt
And today – for one blog only I will include a sequence of pictures which show what the experience is like from inside a Norfolk Punt.
Don’t ask if the camera operator got wet – it will only lead to disappointment.
Have a good weekend. I’m off to another regatta.
