Could I borrow a shelf in the deep freeze for a day or so?

That was the question I asked after we had a delivery of frozen food last week.  I happened to catch sight of a bunch of flowers reflected in a frozen container. They looked so different and quite picturesque

The ice provides us another way of seeing the amazing patterns that petals have and even the ice itself can create fascinating shapes.

Some of the flowers have been frozen flat – while others were placed in  glass tumblers and frozen that way.

I trust they don’t make you feel too cold.

After all that hot weather earlier this month – something a bit cooler might be a welcome relief.

Nevertheless I am sure we shall take it in our stride and after a week or we can allow ourselves a gentle moan about it.
