Splashdown
There was this lake you see. It all looked very tranquil – indeed it was located in rather a fashionable garden centre (although I suppose every garden centre regards itself as fashionable!)

Even so there was this lake which was peaceful and dreamy – a sort of Sunday afternoon lake. When suddenly the tranquil watercourse was sort of invaded by all these ruffians.


Geese, ducks, swans took over and began creating turmoil.


The resident waterfowl looked on with alarm and dismay. Clearly such invasions were uncommon and unexpected. It seems as if the incoming birds arrived to take a bath and have water fights with each other.




Fortunately the escapade didn’t last long and the invaders left as noisily as they arrived – with a maximum of fuss.

An interesting spectacle though while it lasted. Not sure what the management of the GC thought about it. There again there wasn’t much they could do apart from watch.

It’s that time of year I suppose.
