Through a glass darkly
Well done St Paul, I know just what you were going through with those Corinthians. It was suggested that we ought to construct photographs looking as if they were taken through a rain-soaked window.

Personally I spend most of my time trying to keep water off the lens of my camera. Goodness only knows how many times I try and wipe away the moisture with my micro-cloth. (That’s just to keep the camera specialists happy – I usually use this week’s handkerchief).

Nevertheless you can relax, these pictures are all done in Photoshop – well most of them. The method?…One takes a picture of a snowdrop, daffodil – or one of the other flowers…

regular readers will know that my knowledge of flora is a bit limited, but you can’t go wrong with snowdrops and daffodils- and a photograph of a rain soaked window and sort of put the two together.

The all one has to do after that is shimmy through those wonderful blend-modes.
To someone who likes his pictures pure and simple (if a little out of focus) it’s quite startling what comes up.
I was so startled that I thought I would share the results with you. Makes a change from the endless pancake races and annoying the neighbours with my drone. Everyone deserves a week off.
You never know maybe somebody will enjoy them.

I enjoyed them!
Thanks Tom – cheered my morning. I am moving study today – what an upheaval.
