Simply Dancing

This week a collection of photographs I took two or three weeks ago of two young ladies who agreed to twirl round and be photographed. Not the sort of blog I usually turn out.

No doubt you have come to expect boat pictures and photographs of unusual locations, but I thought it was time for something a bit different.

Some time ago I published a series of photographs taken in a local studio and I enjoyed the results. One of the girls, Eleanor also agreed to another shoot during which she would perform a twirling dance motion and with the help of Geoff a very distinguished lighting expert and photographer, we took a series of shots showing both movement and a freeze.

The sharp eyed among you may notice that to the left of each picture the face is entirely stationary- or at least that was the scheme. You are actually seeing the pictures that worked

Hope you enjoy the images. My thanks to Geoff, to Eleanor and Grace for their tremendous efforts – well you just try twirling round for some two-bit photographer 58 times! But in the end we got there – a little our of breath and weary.

The girls were tired too.

See you next week.
