Tales from the Riverbank
Just occasionally I have the opportunity to go in to the city of Norwich to take photographs in and around the reiver Wensum. That was the plan last Tuesday.

Norwich is a colourful city and I am often inspired not only to take photographs that catch my eye, but also to develop them (for “develop” read “jiggle about!”)

It has been a hot sunny week here in the UK and the local shopkeepers seem to have spent time cleaning their windows. Certainly the reflections are striking providing you stand in the right place and wait.

It is also fun playing with colours and accentuating one particular shade – or at least I think so.

Shop keepers and café owners will have to put up with my sense of pictorial humour as I walk through the streets.

Eventually, of course, I reached the riverbank and before my fellow photographers arrived I noticed the reflections and especially the reflections in the river.

In the end I think I only took one more picture during the evening!

By that time the sun had worn itself out. It was beginning to hide behind clouds and was clearly ready for bed. To be honest I wasn’t far behind it.
