Did you photograph the eclipse?
No, not really, because when I should have been getting ready to do so I was still working on my sunflowers. It has been a bad week and I have found myself constantly doing the job I should have done two days ago.

My trip to the excellent sunflower farm near Walsingham should have been great, except for the fact that I forgot to take along an adapter for my two snappy lenses. I had the lenses but no way of fixing them to the camera.

I thought instead I would use my imagination on the flowers in front of me along with a couple of shots from the drone.

A drone in a situation like a field of over 7000000 sunflowers seems an obvious choice. In fact if one lifts off to about 20 feet, pictures from the drone can be quite effective. If one goes higher it is not always possible to tell what it is being looked at. Really high stuff looks good as a movie, but I can’t really put a movie on my weekly post, it would use up too much of my memory with WordPress.

So what about the eclipse. I think one of my sunflowers will have to do instead of the darkened sun. Maybe on the next one I’ll get it right.
Don’t even bother to tell me when it is, I’ll only get depressed.
Have a good weekend
